Honorable Service Co. "E", 171st Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment. Applied for
Invalid Soldier Disability Pension having contacted epilespy while on picket guard duty May 31,
1863 in Washington, South Carolina. The claim was found to be without sufficient evidence
dismissed. George Ogline couldn"t farm or do any manuel work after returning from military
service. He died May 18.1882. Biographed by Gregory Peter (Charles Ogline) Lantay. dated
February 16, 2009 - Great great grandson of George C. Ogline & Mary Jane Metzler-Ogline.
